BALLYSAGGART COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUN RIDE

Our fun ride took off last Sunday after a long absence due to Covid-19. A little rain in the morning, but it cleared away to give a wonderful days enjoyment to all the riders on their horses and ponies. This year we had a surprise visit with champion jockey Davy Russell and his little boy and cousin taking part, he truly enjoyed every moment.

A huge thanks must go to all the landowners for permission to use their land for car parking and riding through. A big thank you to all our helpers, road stewards and of course our quads and everyone that was on board to make the event a successful one, without these people our event could not take place.

Thank you to all our jockeys young and old who took part on the day. Also, thanks to all the people who contributed to our fundraiser and wern’t present on the day. A special mention to our own Paddy Geoghegan for the beautiful pictures on the day.

TRACTOR/VINTAGE RUN UPCOMING EVENT

Sunday, October 3rd - Tractors, cars, motor bikes and vintage vehicles. Fundraiser for development of our Community Centre. More details to follow.

CONDOLENCES

The Ballysaggart community extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mrs Betty O’Gorman (née Twomey), Lismore. May she rest in peace.
