Defeat to Mourneabbey for senior ladies

Our seniors had their first championship game v Mourneabbey at home on Sunday, September 19.

They lost to a very strong performance from the visitors. The ladies showed great heart and determination throughout but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. We train again this week in preparation for Inch Rovers on Sunday, September 26 in the second round.

U14 CUBS

Fermoy U14 cubs played against Mitchelstown in Fermoy on Sunday 19th. We had 20 tog out.

This was our first game in nearly 4 week and it showed. From the start Fermoy were under pressure. Mitchelstown were just stronger all over. Our passing was not up to the standard as it could have been and we just couldn’t get going. Even after getting a penalty that put us in front we should have been driving on but it was Mitchelstown who drove on.

It was a good tough game and to be fair to the girls even when things weren’t going our way they just kept going to the end. We lost by 4 points which wasn’t bad considering that we didn’t play to our full potential.
