Good start for underage teams

Last weekend saw the kick-off for the underage boys’ leagues and all teams did very well.

Fermoy FC 3 Douglas Hall A 1

Fermoy made a solid start to the season with a good win over Douglas Hall in the sunshine in Carrig Park in the U13 1st division. Fermoy went ahead scoring from the spot early on and saw many chances pass by and some good defending ensured they went into half-time with that 1 goal lead.

A tight start to the second half saw chances for both sides. Fermoy stepped it up a gear and got a second and third goal before Douglas pulled one back from the spot. Fermoy remained calm and held on for the first 3 points of the season. Other recent results are CSL U14 division 1 Cork Beg 0 Fermoy 4. U13 Carrigaline 1 Fermoy 4.

Fermoy FC U11 boys got their non-competitive games off to a start on Saturday.

Great effort and games against Innishvilla. We want to thank them for coming up and playing their part in a fantastic set of games. Youth League Fermoy 0 Kinsale 0. Senior League Fermoy 0 Tramore Ath 1.
