A return to indoors

Members of Kilworth Active Retirement Group were delighted to receive the long awaited letter stating they are allowed return to indoor activities.

Returning to indoor activities from 20th September is great, but we need to continue exercising all precautions as Covid is still with us, please read the guidelines received in recent letter. We have implemented all the procedures and guidelines instructed by Active Retirement Ireland and the HSE. A special thanks to all who have worked so hard to get everything ready.

Our summer was filled with outdoor activities 2 days per week and while they were very enjoyable and very well attended it will be good to get back indoors as the autumn approaches. Thanks to Liam for all his help each Tuesday.

Our programme going forward will be Bingo on Monday nights commencing on Monday 27th at 8pm in Heaphy Grove Hall, Kurling in Community Hall (beside Church) at 11am on every 2nd Tuesday commencing on 28th September, all our other games will be available on these Tuesdays for those who wish to avail of them. Refreshments will be served after the games.

Our afternoon get-togethers will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 2.30 commencing on 13th October, this will replace our old Coffee mornings. We will be inviting guest speakers to some of these socials and other activities will be planned. Our games in the tennis court have ceased, but for those who would like to continue the short tennis coaching, please give your name to Peg Sheedy or Bill Hennessey if interested.

We received a huge thank you from the staff and families in the special baby care ward in C.U.M.H. for the beautiful knitted garments they received throughout Covid lockdown please keep up the good work. Stay safe.
