Remembering Alma Fenton R.I.P.

We, the members of Barrymore Players Drama Group, are deeply saddened at the passing of our beloved Alma Fenton. Her involvement with drama in Castlelyons goes back over quite a number of years, always giving 100% to whatever facet of drama she was participating in.

She was an actress, prompter, set designer and director, all of which she excelled in. As a director she coaxed and encouraged gently, never criticising, and directed some real gems of drama in her time. Her greatest satisfaction was to see those participating getting enjoyment from being involved.

Above all, Alma was a vibrant, fun filled, genuine life loving individual who had time for everyone and embraced all that was good.

Alma has left this stage all too early and will be greatly missed by all of us, as she will by the whole community, she has left a huge void which time will fill with wonderful memories of great times shared.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Denis, Isabel, Alan and all the Fenton and Walsh families.
