Britney - her own woman!

In November, a judge approved the termination of pop star Britney Spear’s controversial conservatorship arrangement headed by her father Jamie Spears for the past 14 years. Britney had fought for years for her independence from the conservatorship which began in 2008 after she had a meltdown.

Her father had taken away all her rights and basic decisions about her finances, career and personal life. Britney (40), who has sold over 100 million records, says she has a new song in the pipeline which will kick start what are to be the happiest years of her life.

Britney told the court she had been forced to take medication and perform against her will even while sick with fever. She is delighted now to do simple things like take cash out of an ATM. “I know my value and worth now”, she says.

She has an Iranian-born partner for the past five years. He’s a good hearted, kind, respectful guy and the ‘Baby One More Time’ songstress would like to have a baby with him.
