WORK DONE ON O’MAHONY PARK
Galtee Gaels personnel including players, mentors etc., should be justly proud of the fine job that was completed recently in the John O’Mahony Park, Kilbehenny. The job involved the provision of a tarmacadamed walkway round the pitch which is such a valuable asset to all age groups who would like to take a walk in a safe environment. The pitch has been modernised to a very high standard and also provides wastepaper bins and a doggy poo bin.
Congratulations to all involved on a job well done.
COMMUNITY CENTRE
Thank you to Moss Fitzgerald who did a superb job in lighting up our community hall for the Christmas period. It was breath-taking to pass at night and savour the atmosphere at a time when we needed it most with pubs etc., closed. Also, thank you to Martin Luddy who gave a very willing helping hand.
SYMPATHIES
Sincere sympathy to Willie Barrett and Felix and Joan Walsh and families on the recent and sudden death of Philomena Barrett (nee Walsh). Philomena was born and reared in Anglesboro and moved up the road to Skeheen, Mitchelstown on her marriage to the love of her life Willie. May Philomena’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Also, sincere sympathy to Geraldine and the Connolly family and to Josie (Paddy’s mother) on the sudden death of Paddy Connolly. Paddy resided in Skeheenarinky and was renowned as a talented carpenter. May Paddy’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
CONGRATULATIONS BALLYGIBLIN
Heartiest congratulations to near neighbours Ballygiblin on their wonderful achievement when them emerged victorious on Sunday’s clash with our other near neighbours Skeheenarinky in the Munster Club junior hurling championship final.
Best of luck in the All-Ireland semi-final.
With Covid ploughing its way through the community at large, it is imperative that we observe the rules laid down by the HSE and respect each other.
