Quiet week for Glanmire Macra

Article by Aisling Walsh, Glanmire PRO

This week was a quiet week for Glanmire as we settled back into the new year and new restrictions. Our PRO Aisling Walsh took part in the national sem-finals of the leaders of the year competition for her role as Seandun PRO for the last two years having won a president’s medal in the previous round. The semi-final took the format of a round table discussion between all semi-finalists and was split over two nights. Best of luck to all with the results.

We also did a number of throwbacks to our titles nights on social media as this time of the year, we usually select our representatives and we also attend the annual officer training in Killarney. We are looking forward to having them in person again next year hopefully.

Finally, our capers cast resumed practice. The semi-finals which were due to take place on the 15th of January are currently postponed but we look forward to the semi-finals when they can go ahead. Glanmire abú!

Happy New Year from all in Glanmire Macra and don’t forget to keep

an eye on our social media pages for upcoming events as we prepare for the new macra year. New members are always welcome so make sure to send us a message online.
