The Avondhu

County and divisional representatives

Great news for the club this week as a number of players sealed their places in county and divisional squads for 2022.

Well done to Thea Coleman who will take her place on this year’s Cork minor camogie squad. A fantastic achievement for Thea and her family.

Beatrice Motherway, Grace Forde, Caylee Hogan, Ciara Condon and Aoife Moriarty have been selected for the Avondhu U15 camogie panel, while Shauna Hennessy, Eve Cleary, Eimer Fouhy and Keelin Sheehan will all take their places in the Avondhu U14 camogie squad. Well done girls.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION

All are welcome to join us each Wednesday for our Operation Transformation walks. We’ll be leaving from the leisure centre at 7pm. Please pass the invite on to family and friends. Download the MyLife app, register using St Fanahan’s / Mitchelstown Ladies and your steps will be logged. If we clock 4000km, we are in with a chance of winning €2500.

PREPARATIONS FOR 2022

The preparations for the new 2022 season are well underway. The team trainers and helpers completed their safeguarding course this week. More training is planned for the coming weeks. The U16 and U14 camogie squads will start their strength and conditioning training tonight (Thursday).

Anyone interested in playing, or helping in any capacity, can contact us via our social media page.

MUNSTER CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to Ballygiblin who were crowned the Munster junior hurling champions on Sunday. A fantastic day for Gaelic games in Mitchelstown. It was great to see so many of our players and members supporting the team. The St Fanahan’s / Mitchelstown Ladies colours were very noticeable in Mallow.
