Annual Mass celebrated at Saint Fanahan’s Well

The annual Mass took place at Saint Fanahan’s Holy Well on Monday, 20th June at 7.30pm. Due to the restrictions over the past couple of years, this was the first time since 2019 that this summer Mass took place.

Canon Michael Leamy was the chief celebrant and Fr. Pat O’Donoghue concelebrated this very special Mass.

Canon Leamy spoke of Saint Fanahan’s Well as being a special place of solitude in the parish and of special devotion to our Patron, Saint Fanahan. He thanked the Well Committee for their great work in ensuring that the Well and its environs is so well maintained at all times.

On the night the various choirs of the parish amalgamated to sing with musical accompaniment provided by Odhran and Kayren Brennan. The beautiful weather on the night ensured that this annual open-air Mass was once again a very special gathering for those in the parish and beyond.
