Best Independent Takeaway in Munster - in Fermoy

A Fermoy classic, Wimpy located on Brian Boru Square, has been awarded the Best Independent Takeaway prize in Munster.

The awards were announced on Friday last, following National Burger Day which was celebrated on Thursday, June 23, sponsored by Kepak.

The announcement came on Kepak’s fifth annual National Burger Day, which encouraged foodie lovers to get out and have their say by voting for the nation’s favourite burger - all in support of the Simon Community.

Elsewhere in Cork, Roastie Midleton won the Best Burger in a Restaurant prize, O’Reilly’s Food Truck in Bandon received the Best Burger in a Food Truck award and Yay Burger in Ballydehob won the Best Gourmet Burger Specialist in Munster title.
