No updates for Killavullen as BWN issued in County Tipperary

Some 800 customers on the Killavullen Public Water Supply are still awaiting the lifting of a boil water notice that was put in place in early May.
While nearby, a separate boil water notice was recently issued for the Galtee Regional Public Supply in
County Tipperary. Here, some 15,000 people are affected by the notice in Emly, Lattin, Ballinard, Cullen, Ballywire, Kilross, Limerick Junction, Monard, Lisvernane, Rosadrehid, Bansha, Tankerstown, Kilfeacle, Golden, Cashel, Rosegreen, New Inn and surrounding areas.
The notice was issued by the Health Service Executive,
Irish Water and Tipperary County Council due to elevated turbidity in the treated water.
In Killavullen, high turbidity levels in the borehole supply are affecting the Killavullen Public Water Supply, causing the Killavullen Water Treatment Plant to remain shut down.
