VITAL ROLE OF SPONSORS

With any regatta comes expense and Fermoy is no different. One of the 'big jobs' in advance of the regatta is contacting sponsors seeking their support. In this regard, Fermoy Rowing Club has been very fortunate over the years.

From individuals to corporate groups, all continue to give very generously - a point picked up on this week by regatta secretary, Paul Kavanagh.

“The level of financial support the regatta continues to receive from sponsors is very encouraging, it's very much appreciated, especially in the current economic climate,” he said.

Clubs and associations are businesses of sorts and cash flow is vital to their smooth running. Unfortunately, the cost of running sports clubs is only going in one direction and without revenue streams, they would cease to exist.

Fermoy Rowing Club is extremely grateful to the many individuals and businesses who make donations every year. They take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge this critical assistance.
