Shanballymore’s county journey ends

Shanballymore 0-7 Garnish 3-14

We headed west last Sunday afternoon to Baile Bhuirne on what one could only describe as a wet miserable day. Conditions for football were less than ideal paired with a strong team of opponents from Garnish, they kept us scoreless in the first half.

While the second half saw a slow start, we finally got on the scoreboard with a point from Jake. Eoin O’Regan was on top free taking form and added to our tally. The men from the west proved too strong across the field and ended our county journey on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-7.

Well done to all the lads for reaching this quarter final stage and proudly supporting our village and the Avondhu area.
