Golf classic a success

The Ballyhooly GAA Annual Golf Classic was held last Friday, 24th June in Fermoy Golf Club. The lucky 12 teams who played on the eve of the event enjoyed balmy Irish weather, while the teams that played on Friday braved mixed elements throughout.

In his post golf presentations, Pa Leahy, Ballyhooly GAA Club Chairman thanked Fermoy Golf Club President and all officials for the use of their excellent facilities and all those present in the golf club for the presentation of prizes. Pa extended his gratitude to the organising committee for their tremendous work in co-ordinating the event and he thanked the event sponsors Tim O’Mahony & Sons Heating and Plumbing, who have sponsored the event previously and without whose support the event would not be possible.

Pad O’Mahony thanked the Ballyhooly GAA organising committee and the Fermoy Golf Club for a well-run event, which he was very pleased to support. Pa presented Pad with a bottle of Ballyhooly Blue Ribbon Irish Whiskey kindly donated by Lucinda from St Patrick’s Distillery as a token of Ballyhooly GAA’s appreciation to the main sponsor. The attention of the night then turned to the presentation of prizes. Well done to all the winners
