Defeat for junior hurlers

Kilworth 2-10 Mallow 5-23

Our junior hurlers suffered a heavy defeat to Mallow in the Cavanagh’s of Fermoy D2HL in wet and windy conditions in Kilworth last Sunday night. Playing with the aid of the elements in the first half the game was tied 1-8 apiece at the short whistle.

However, Mallow went on to dominate the second period securing a very comfortable 5-23 to 2-10 win in a very disappointing Kilworth performance.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €20,000 held on Monday, June 27th, the numbers drawn were: 1, 2, 17 and 31. The lucky dip winner of €50 was Jody Hallahan, c/o online. Next week’s jackpot on Monday, July 4th will continue at €20,000 with a reserve jackpot starting at €1,000. Well done to the Kilworth/Araglin Fé17 hurlers who won the Rebel Og North Division 1 Shield final, on Tuesday night (June, 21) following a 5-15 to 0-18 win over Watergrasshill.
