KNOCKADEA WALKING GROUP PRESENTS €2,945 CHEQUE TO UKRAINE FUND

Pictured are members and friends of Knockadea Walking Group presenting a cheque for €2,945 to Carmel Fox, who is the chairperson of Gorta. Gorta is one of many charitable organisations directing money to Ukraine. Our donation was sent directly to hospital no. 2 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. This is a general hospital that covers the full range of paediatric, maternity and general medical treatment. The group are both proud and honoured to have collected such a large sum, which completely exceeded our expectations. We want to thank all our members who sold sponsorship cards and especially all the public who subscribed so generously. We are delighted to announce that since we made the donation three weeks ago, we have now received acknowledgement of receiving our money which reads ‘Dear Knockadea Walking Group, thank you for your very generous donation of €2,945 in response to our Ukraine Appeal. Your donation will help provide life saving medical supplies for Ukranian families’.
