KILFINANE COMMUNITY PLAN 20222027

Following a 6 month consultation process the Kilfinane Community Plan 2022-2027 is almost ready to be launched. The Plan is being prepared by the Kilfi

nane Community Council, facilitated by Ballyhoura Development CLG. In order to draw down funding for local initiatives from the Irish Government, the County Council and the European Union it is important to have an overall Plan. The planning process explored the potential of the area and examined the needs of the community. It looked at ways in which the potential could be realised and needs addressed.

The following areas are being addressed in the plan: 1) Community spaces, derelict buildings & disused buildings, 2) Community Organisation & Inclusion, 3) Youth Services, 4) Transport, Mobility & Access, 5) Tourism, Culture & Recreation, 6) Community Safety, 7) Services, Jobs & Sustainable Economy.

The Plan will be available in a few weeks. The implementation of the Plan will require the commitment and engagement of local people. When a community works together great results can be achieved.

The Community Council will keep you updated on the next steps.
