Based in Tallow Enterprise Centre, the Tallow Ladies Social Group is a group of like-minded women who come together each month and enjoy a range of activities and outings including workshops, speakers and social events. On Tuesday 21st last the ladies had their annual outing and were delighted to be joined by the Ballyduff group.

The outing took in Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the Crescent Shopping Centre and dinner in the Corbett Court, Ballyhea on the way home. All agreed it was a most enjoyable day out and thankfully the weather was lovely. A very enjoyable day was had by all. New members to the group are always welcome. SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Most of the local schools are now on their summer break. There are a wide variety of summer camps available locally. So there is plenty to keep little minds occupied for the coming weeks. After two years of a break, it is great to see the summer camps once more up and running. Please support your local camps. Cul Camp and Cookery camp will take place in Tallow in the coming weeks.

The Tidy Towns committee have been busy in the past few weeks and the town is looking very well with lots of summer colour in the various pots and containers, which have been planted. If you can maybe fill a window box or container for your own property. Please if you can keep outside areas around your property swept and tidy. ‘If everyone does a little bit, nobody needs to do a lot’. Enjoy the summer everyone.
