Best of trad and folk for Kilworth

Having been cancelled earlier in the year due to illness, the Village Arts & Theatre Club are delighted to bring Niall Teague, Padraic Joyce & Friends to Kilworth Community Centre for the first time on Thursday, April 20th.

Niall Teague and Padraic Joyce have developed their craft as songwriters and performers and have grown in popularity since winning the Panceltic international song contests in 2018.

NIall, who is a native of Belfast and Padraig from Rossaveal, will be joined by Neil Fitzgibbon (Athlone) on fiddle and Maidhc O hEanaigh (Spiddal) on double bass and flute.

Influenced by their local Galway community, culture, and sounds, they perform music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum. They have become important new contributors to folk music both in English and in the Irish language.

Their signature style has become synonymous with diverse melodies, tight vocal harmony and compositions influenced by folk, country, blues and roots music. This band is on the rise, with new songs and live appearances with artists such as Sharon Shannon and John Spillane, they are well on their way to the success they’ve worked so hard for.

Tickets are €20 and will be available to book at the usual outlets from Monday next or you can call or text 087-6492514.
