GREAT YOUGHAL DOUBLE

Vincent O’Keeffe, an up and coming greyhound trainer, had a great double at Youghal Track last week. His dogs, Prince Josh and Princess Lauren, won the 4th and 5th races at the Seaside track on March 22nd.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE

Places for Assisted Pilgrims are still available on the Cloyne Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes from June 2nd to 7th. For information on how to get application forms just ring 087 9538077. Financial assistance is available from the Fermoy & District Lourdes Invalid Fund.

JOIN BARTLEMY WOOLIES

The Bartlemy Woolies are back. For anyone interested in doing some knitting, having a chat and a cuppa in a warm friendly atmosphere, Bartlemy Hall on a Tuesday morning is the place to be. The Woolies meet on Tuesday mornings in the Hall at 9.30 and the finishing time is variable, usually about 11 or 11.30. If you are a committed knitter or never did a ‘one plain, one purl stitch’ do come along any Tuesday. For further details contact Una at 086-8422634.

BARTLEMY SCHOOL RUN

A 6km event - run/jog/walk - in aid of Bartlemy School will take place on Sunday, April 23rd at 12pm from Bartlemy Hall (registration from 10.30am). €15 per entry or €20 per family. Lots of prizes and postrace refreshments in the Hall afterwards. All welcome.

SCIATH NA SCOIL GAME OFF

Bishop O’Brien NS were scheduled to play Killeagh NS in Sciath na Scoil boys and girls games in Killeagh on last Wednesday morning, March 29th, but the heavy rain meant the games were called off.

OSKARS HEN NIGHT

Bride Rovers GAA are presently in full rehearsal all over the parish for the May Gala Night in the Rochestown Park Hotel. Many local fundraisers are planned for the next few weeks, including a Hen Night in Bartlemy Hall - full details later.

BREAKFAST CLUB & AFTER-SCHOOL CARE

An exciting new venture will be up and running in September to help families and children who attend Bishop O’Brien NS in Bartlemy village. With many parents working and travelling to work the introduction of a Bartlemy Breakfast Club and AfterSchool Care facility is a wonderful development. Fun activities will be included plus a light breakfast and afternoon snack. Bookings are now being taken, contact Caitriona at 087 1260020.
