Fermoy Active Retirement get-together

Fermoy Active Retirement’s next get together is on Wednesday, 5th April at 2.30pm in Fermoy Youth Centre, will see our members on parade, displaying their Easter Bonnet creations.

Prizes of Easter eggs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Flower arranging demo, courtesy of one of our members, with the displays being raffled on the day.

We received a glowing review from the reviewing stand at the Patrick’s Day parade as we paraded past displaying our activity banners and green a.r.a. jackets.

Currently our membership stands at 70 plus members and growing.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music and dancing and festive mouth watering food at our own party on the lead up to the big day. Many thanks to the Willie Collins band. Kurling continues every alternate tuesday between Fermoy/ Kilworth. Next play Tuesday 4th, April at 10.30am in Kilworth. Our choir continues to entertain at the local care centres, much to the delight of the patients.

New members always most welcome. We are going to the palace for lunch, The Cashel Palace Hotel, with some sight seeing on the return journey. Members don’t forget to use your discount membership card in the many retail outlets in Fermoy. Spring is in the air, do come out and enjoy. Be active be alive with Active Retirement.
