All roads led to Springfort Hall

On Friday night we honoured the Junior Camogie Championship and League Champions team, The U21 LGFA County Champions or the 1981 County Intermediate Football team in Springfort Hall hotel. The venue was superb and the music provided by Silver Dollar was excellent.

Everybody had a great night and Cork player Aisling Thompson was the special guest on the night as well as other dignitaries from the county board and from the LGFA.. For the 1981 County Intermediate team John Fouhy as captain spoke for the team and did a great job reminiscing about the time and the players involved, with special mention for Michael Fitzgerald who is since deceased. Club presidents of the men’s club Pat Fitzgerald and of the ladies club Cha Hanley spoke really well also and it was evident from the night that it was going to be a very inclusive affair. Brian Tennyson spoke with great detail on the county champions win.

As everybody danced away until the early hours it was evident that everybody was having a great night and so we are delighted with the support on the night. Thanks to everybody who made the journey. It was a lovely evening and everybody was delighted with the venue. Thanks to spring fort who were so helpful.
