Hugely successful GAA and camogie awards night

On Saturday, 18th March, in conjunction with Ballyduff Upper Juvenile GAA club, we honoured our victorious camogie U14, U16 and Minor County champions for the 2022 season.

The night was MC’d by John Jackson and we were thrilled to have special guests none other than Waterford Senior Hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald and two-time All-Star Waterford Senior Camogie captain Lorraine Bray there to help us celebrate. Both Davy and Lorraine gave some great words of encouragement and advice for all our girls and boys on the night and we are extremely grateful to them both for giving up their time.

After an extremely busy and successful year on the pitch last year for our camogie girls across all age groups, it was great to recognise our U14, U16 and Minor girls who brought home our clubs first county titles ever in 2022. Our club chairperson Edith Scanlon expressed huge thanks to all our coaches and club officers both past and present who have done untold work behind the scenes for our club.

Likewise the Ballyduff Upper GAA Juvenile Club had a very successful year securing county titles in hurling and football from U15 down to U11 age groups and were rightly recognised on the night. Well done to all players, coaches, mentors and committees involved.

We would like to express huge thanks to everyone who attended, provided refreshments, sponsored toward the raffle on the night and to all the boys and girls of Ballyduff Upper GAA and Camogie. Roll on 2023 season!

A NEW CAMOGIE SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

The 2023 season is now underway with our girls across all age groups back in training currently. We are delighted to announce that 2023 will be our first season fielding an adult camogie team in Ballyduff Upper which is testament to all the hard work done past and present.

The majority of our teams are back in league action over the next few weeks and it would be great to see as many supporters at the games as we look forward to another busy season across all age groups.
