Congratulations lads

Congratulations to Chris Hurley and John Herlihy (Conna Handball Club) on their recent Munster final win against strong Limerick opponents Donal O’Connor and Seamus O’Donovan in the Diamond Masters A Munster final on a scoreline of 17-21, 21-10, 11-3 on 27th March in Mallow.

This win follows fast on the heels of fellow Conna clubmen John Heffernan and Barrie O’Regan who proved too strong for the Tipperary pairing of Martin Spain and Willie Bourke on 16th March in the Emerald Masters B Munster final winning on a scoreline of 21-6, 21-0. Both pairings now look forward to All-Ireland semi-finals which will be played on 15th April in Croke Park.

Well done also to Hugh Carolan (Conna HC) and Patrick Buckley (Glenville HC) who teamed up and put in a great performance and were narrowly defeated 11-8 in a tiebreaker in the Masters B Munster finals with Rodger Casey and Jonathan Lucey taking the win.

UPCOMING FUNDRAISING QUIZ

Attention now turns to one of the social highlights of the year, with the long awaited return of the Conna Handball Club Fundraising Table Quiz. This popular evening will be held at The Big Tree in Aghern starting at 8.30pm on Saturday, 1st April.

All are welcome, so put on your thinking caps and we look forward to seeing a big crowd on the night as usual.
