Plenty to work on for the next game

Our football season got underway last Sunday in Templemore. The first round of fixtures in the county senior football league saw us play JK Brackens in good weather conditions. Unfortunately we didn't get off to a winning start as we were beaten on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-9.

There were some good positives in our performance but management won't be happy with the manner in which we conceded some soft goals. So plenty to work on for our next game on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend against Rockwell Rovers in Ballyporeen, exact date and time to be confirmed.

Team- J English, S O'Callaghan, R O'Callaghan, J Carey, (0- 1) A O'Donovan, J Barry, N Vaughan, D Finn, K Mahoney, Charlie English, Christy English (1- 5), T Vaughan, J Martin (0- 1), T Sweeney (1- 2), R Hennessy. Subs used were A Crotty and E Hickey.

LOTTO

Club lotto result: numbers drawn were 3, 4, 6 and 7. No winner. 3 match 3s Kathleen Moloney, Maudie Donoghue and Tony Austin. Next draw in O'Casey's Bar on Easter weekend. Jackpot €4,550. Thanks for your continued support.

A NIGHT AT THE DOGS

We are running a night at the dogs in Clonmel on Friday, 30th June as our fundraiser this year. This promises to be a great fun night for all the family and hopefully all the parish will support us on the night. Admission tickets will be on sale soon for €20 and this will include your programme and entry into our raffle for some super prizes. You can also place an ad in the programme if you wish, contact any committee member for details.

So put the date in your diary and please support our club in any way you wish.
