Michael and Catherine are winners

Our fourball competition on Sunday morning was kindly sponsored by Gabriel J Flynn & Company, Accountants & Registered Auditors, Fermoy, for which we are very thankful. The competition was well supported, it was a nice morning for a game.

Michael Gowen and Catherine Morrissey were 1st nett winners on a score of 43. John Hogan and Pat McNamara were 1st gross winners on a score of 53. Jerry Burke and Tom Shanahan were 2nd nett winners on a score of 43 1/2. Joe Lee and Seamus O’Connell were 2nd gross winners (on the last hole) with a score of 54.

At the presentation of prizes, Chairman Seán Howard welcomed Gabriel and thanked him for his sponsorship and support. Gabriel in reply said he was delighted to support the competition and was full of praise for the wonderful facilities provided by the club.

Tuesday afternoon’s two-ball scramble winners were 1st nett Seán Howard and Seamus Fox on a score of 35 1/2. John C McCarthy and Pat McNamar were gross winners on a score 51.

The competition on Thursday afternoon was cancelled due to the very heavy rain.

Tuesday and Thursday afternoon’s competitions continue, weather permitting, tee off 2.30pm. Our competition on Sunday morning will be a threeball competition with very good vouchers worth winning for Easter. Tee off 10.15am sharp.
